Heather has over 27 years of experience in public accounting. She joined Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP in January 2005 and became a partner in 2008. She was previously with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in Raleigh and prior to that, the regional firm, Hill, Barth & King LLC, working in offices in both Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Heather is a member of the Firm’s executive committee, manages the Firm’s corporate tax practice and leads its International Services team. She works with clients in a variety of industries including life sciences, software and technology development, and manufacturing and distribution. Her experience in these industries includes corporate and partnership tax compliance, including international and multi-state tax, tax provision and uncertain tax position calculations for multinational companies with multijurisdictional reporting requirements, as well as domestic and cross-border business planning and consulting, including mergers and acquisitions. Heather’s international experience includes structuring and tax compliance for U.S. companies expanding internationally, as well as companies primarily headquartered in the UK, Germany, Ireland, and France.
